Our specialised services are geared up to provide customers with a fully comprehensive electrical inspection and testing service.

We carry out NIC EIC approved electrical inspection and testing, complete with written reports and associated test results. Any faults and deficiencies detected during our thorough inspection and test are noted, and a full written report is compiled on the condition of the existing electrical installation along with courses of action to be taken. On completion of the report a quotation is then provided to carry out any necessary remedial or upgrade work as indicated in the report.

The whole point of periodic electrical inspection and testing is to verify, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the existing electrical installation is in a safe serviceable condition, and to detect if any remedial, maintenance or upgrade work is necessary to bring the installation up to safe satisfactory standards.

BASIC visual inspection report for domestic properties only

This basic visual inspection report is designed for domestic properties only, and does not constitute an NIC EIC periodic inspection and test report (which are strongly recommended). The basic visual inspection report is exactly what it says, it is designed to be a low cost option for the homeowner/homebuyer that requires a visual inspection of the existing electrical installation, it enables our inspector to give your installation the 'once over'. Checking for any faults that may require attention, or indeed to establish whether a part or full rewire may be necessary. He will also offer advice or discuss any concerns you may have, offering you piece of mind on the condition of the electrical installation. A basic visual report is then provided along with a quotation for any necessary electrical work required.

NIC EIC periodic electrical inspection and test reporting

This is by far the most popular request for inspection and testing of all types of electrical installations in all types of properties. In this case, we carry out a full NIC EIC periodic electrical inspection and test report. The inspector will carry out an in-depth, thorough inspection of the whole electrical installation and/or a section or part of the electrical installation as requested, and also carry out testing of the installation with approved test meters and equipment. A comprehensive report along with a schedule of appropriate test results is then provided, along with a quotation for any necessary remedial or upgrade work established during the inspection and testing.

NIC EIC emergency lighting inspection and test reporting

All properties that have an emergency lighting system should have it thoroughly inspected and tested on an annual basis, and a written report obtained on its condition. The inspection and test is designed to establish whether any maintenance/upgrade work is required, in order to keep the emergency lighting system in healthy working service. Any necessary maintenance/upgrade work should be carried out without delay. An appropriate 12-month certificate can then be issued in compliance with the applicable fire regulations, electrical regulations and local authorities.

NIC EIC fire alarm system inspection and test reporting

All properties that have a fire alarm system should have it thoroughly inspected and tested on a annual basis, and a written report obtained on its condition. The inspection and test is designed to establish whether any maintenance/upgrade work is required, in order to keep the fire alarm system in healthy working service. Any necessary maintenance/upgrade work should be carried out without delay. An appropriate 12-month certificate can then be issued in compliance with the applicable fire regulations, electrical regulations and local authorities.
